Answers to your Stimulus Payment Questions

How do I know if I qualify for a stimulus payment?

- Frontier Bank cannot determine if you qualify for this payment.  Visit IRS.gov/coronavirus to learn more about eligibility and payment amounts. 
 

How will I receive my payment?

- ACH:  By direct deposit to the bank account reflected on your 2019 or 2018 tax return.  Consider creating an alert in online banking to notify you of a new direct deposit.

-Paper Check:  If you did not file a tax return in 2018 or 2019 or you have not provided your direct deposit account information to the IRS you will receive a US Treasury Check.  
 

When will I receive my payment?

- Payments will begin as soon as possible now that the legislation has passed.  Frontier Bank receives direct deposits at multiple times throughout each day.  We do not know when you will receive your payment.  You can check the status of your stimulus payment using the IRS's Get My Payment Tool.  
 

How can I protect myself from fraud?

- The IRS is urging taxpayers to be on the lookout for a surge of calls and email phishing attempts about COVID-19 stimulus payments.  Frontier Bank will never ask for your personal, confidential information such as PIN or online banking password.  Learn how to protect yourself with the IRS's tips.  Watch out for schemes tied to economic impact payments.  

Should I call my local branch for more information?

- We are always available to assist with questions, however Frontier Bank does not know when you will receive your payment.  You can use mobile banking, online banking or an ATM to access your account information.  You may experience delays in digital channels due to increased traffic during the stimulus payout timeframe.
